Quality Assurance Specialist
OverviewThe Quality Assurance Specialist works under the direction of the Quality Assurance (QA)Manager and is responsible for QA and some Quality Control (QC) activities in the AlaronFacility as directed by the QA Manager. Performs surveillances, assessments, and audits,when qualified. May develop, revise, and/or review procedures. Assists the QA Manager inmaintaining a quality program in the Alaron Facility.Responsibilitieso Acquires basic knowledge and develops skills in specific knowledge areas.o Applies prescribed techniques and procedure in accordance with established criteria toperform assigned tasks.o Performs routine work which does not require previous experience.o Acquires an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.o Maintains Assessment, Surveillance, and Audit Schedules.o Performs Surveillances and Assessments, both scheduled and unscheduled.o Maintains NCR and CAR logs as directed by the QA Manager.o Reviews project documents as directed by the QA Manager.Accountabilities:
o Protect health and safety.o Understand direction and expectations.o Perform new/unusual tasks under supervision of the QA Manager.o Complete approved tasks on time and in accordance with expectations.o Compliance with Alaron and applicable VNS-FS policies and procedures.o Maintains Alaron & VNSFS training requirements.Qualificationso 1-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education andexperience is required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.o Knowledge of, and experience with, nuclear facility operations.o Knowledge of, and experience with, nuclear facility safety including technical safetyrequirements, processes and reporting requirements.o Attention to detail.o Intermediate PC skills including Microsoft software.o Must be able to complete site specific training and comply with site specific policies andrules.o Must be able to pass Radiation Worker Training and 40-hour HAZWOPER training and upto date 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher training.o Must be a US Citizen.Education & Certificationso BA/BS degree in related field or equivalent combination of experience and educationJob Locationo Wampum PA, United StatesPosition Typeo Full-Time/Regular#J-18808-Ljbffr Recommended Skills Assessments Attention To Detail Auditing Communication Ethics Facility Operations Apply to this job.
